The Cape Cod Marathon race course is a fast and scenic route that hugs the Falmouth coastline of Nantucket Sound. Designed to maximize runners’ view of Martha’s Vineyard and the beautiful waters of Nantucket Sound.

Early Bird Fee (ONE WEEK ONLY): $90 – January 15, 2024 through January 21, 2024.

Regular Fee: $105 – January 22, 2024 through August 1, 2024. (unless race sells out)

Late Fee: $120 – August 2, 2024 through October 4, 2024. (unless race sells out)

Pushrim/Duo Event Registration closes September 1, 2024.

PLEASE NOTE: The entry fee is non-refundable for any reason. Please see the deferral policy below.

CLAM CHOWDAH CHALLENGE: Runners interested in the Clam Chowdah Challenge (running both the Half and Full Marathons), should go to the Clam Chowdah Challenge page for more information. NOTE: To register to run the Challenge, you must register ONLY for the Clam Chowdah Challenge which will automatically enter you in both the half and full marathons plus includes special finisher goodies. DO NOT enter the half and full marathons separately and expect to be entered into the Clam Chowdah Challenge!

PUSHRIM/DUO TEAM ATHLETES: Duo Teams and Push-Rim athletes may compete in the Half Marathon, Marathon or Chowdah Challenge ONLY

All participants in the Push-Rim and/or Duo Division receive a complimentary entry. Any pushrim athlete MUST email info@capecodmarathon.com for more information before registering. Registration for Pushrim Athletes closes on September 1st.

Basic Rules

  • The field will be limited to the first 1,200 marathoners who enter.
  • Runners entering the Cape Cod Marathon should be adequately trained to complete the course in six (6) hours or a 13:43 per mile pace.
  • After 2:00 pm, the course will be closed, and Race Management cannot guarantee race medals, finish times and refreshments to runners who finish after that time.  Marathon entrants must be 16 years of age or older on race day.

Elite Runner Complimentary Marathon Bib Numbers

Marathon runners who have met the qualifying standard can apply for a complimentary race bib number for the 2024 Cape Cod Marathon by sending proof of your qualifying time to director@capecodmarathon.com. Your qualifying time must have been run within the last 3 years on a certified marathon course. Upon our verification of your time, you will receive instructions via email on how to register for the 2024 Cape Cod Marathon.

The 2024 qualifying time is based on the time of the 5th place finisher in the 2023 Cape Cod Marathon. The current Marathon qualifying times are:

  • Male – 2:32:09
  • Female – 3:03:05

Award winners are only eligible for one prize money award. Course Records receive a $500 bonus. Overall winners are based on gun time. Age Group winners are based on net/chip time and are only eligible for the award in their age group. No dropping down into a younger age group. There are no Non-binary or Push-Rim/Duo awards in the Marathon.

Special USATF-NE Prize Structure for “Open” category only: The top 10 USATF-NE active member finishers will receive “Open” category prize money regardless of their overall place. For example, If the first Open USATF-NE finisher places fourth overall, this runner would receive $1,000 for being the first USATF-NE finisher instead of winning $500 as the fourth overall finisher.

REFUND POLICY

I understand the Cape Cod Marathon, Half & Relay, Chowdah Challenge and 5K does not refund registration fees under ANY circumstances.
However, if I have registered for the Marathon, Half, Chowdah Challenge or 5k(not applicable to relay teams or virtual events) individually but find I am unable to participate I may choose to defer my entry to 2025 in accordance with our deferral policy.

DEFERRAL POLICY

2024 Marathon, Half, Chowdah Challenge and 5k deferrals are allowed from the date of registration through September 1, 2024. Absolutely NO deferrals will be allowed after September 1, 2024. Once a deferral is requested, the decision is final. The deferral is good for one year only. An entrant with a deferral will be discounted 40% for the 2025 race. You can request a deferral by sending an email to info@capecodmarathon.com Deferrals are not allowed for Relay Teams.

Liability Waiver

In consideration of accepting this entry, I, the participant, intending to be legally bound, hereby waive and forever release any and all rights and claims for damages or injuries that I may have against the Falmouth Running Club, Event Director and staff, RaceRoster.com, USATF, USATF-NE, Presidential Timing and all of their agents assisting with the event, sponsors and their representatives, volunteers and employees for any and all injuries to me or my personal property. This release includes all injuries and/or damages suffered by me before, during or after the event. I recognize, intend and understand that this release is binding upon my heirs, executors, administrators, or assignees.

If I choose to run the full , the half marathon, and/or the 5k I grant permission to all the foregoing to use my name, voice and images of myself in any photographs, motion pictures, results, publications or any other print, video graphic or electronic recording of this event for legitimate purposes. I also acknowledge and agree that the entry fee is non-refundable, whether I can personally run or not and even if the race is cancelled due to reasons beyond the control of the Organizers, such as, but not limited to, weather, public safety or any other situations that prevent the event from occurring safely.

I know that running a road race is a potentially hazardous activity. I should not enter and run unless I am medically able to do so and properly trained. I attest that I will be properly trained to complete the 5k distance within the one-hour time limit and/or the half marathon in the three-hour time limit and/or the full marathon in the six-hour time limit. I assume all risks associated with running in this event including, but not limited to: falls, contact with other participants, the effects of weather, traffic, and course conditions, and waive any and all claims which I might have based on any of those and other risks typically found in running a road race. I acknowledge all such risks are known and understood by me. I agree to abide by all decisions of any race official relative to my ability to safely complete the run. I certify as a material condition to my being permitted to enter this race that I am physically fit and sufficiently trained for the completion of this event.

In the event of an illness, injury or medical emergency arising during the event I hereby authorize and give my consent to the Event Director to secure from any accredited hospital, clinic and/ or physician any treatment deemed necessary for my immediate care. I agree that I will be fully responsible for payment of any and all medical services and treatment rendered to me including but not limited to medical transport, medications, treatment and hospitalization.

By submitting this entry, I acknowledge (or a parent or adult guardian for all children under 18 years) having read and agreed to the above release and waiver.
